How do Playtesters join games? Would we pick from a schedule or show up and find open games?
There is a Showcase on Friday Night to tell you what games will be available, and folks can sign up there for games. However, we know that not all games run for 3 hrs, so once your first game of a timeslot is done, you can be directed to open tables by our volunteers and find more games to play!
Can Playtesters bring their own games to play and test?
We do ask that playtesters not bring games for playtesting - please buy a designer ticket!
Is there an age limit to playtesters or designers?
If you have a young designer, please accompany them to the event and be present - all designer passes come with a minimum 1 playtester pass!
Can designers bring more than one game to playtest?
Yes you can - however, you will only be able to showcase or schedule a slot for 1 game per 1 designer ticket. If you have other games, you can ask about playing them outside of your designated playtest, or after you’ve run a playtest with your primary game.
How can a game company acquire multiple tickets for its employees?
If you need multiple designer tickets for a single company, please get in contact with us.
Otherwise, each designer ticket comes with a minimum of 1 playtester pass that can be used by other members of your group!
How do Designers sign up for their playtest times?
Once you’ve purchased your ticket, we will send out a survey to ask you for your preferred timeslots, and will do our best to accommodate it. However, we do schedule according to who has their ticket and gets back to us first!
How do I submit my game for adding to the playtesting and Showcase?
Once you’ve purchased your ticket, and after we’ve asked you for your requested timeslots, we will follow-up with a survey for your game details, pictures, players needed, and what you are wanting to test about your game!
Do you provide Community Tickets?
We hope to! It will depend on sponsorships and fundraising, but we are aiming to offer Community Tickets for Designers!
