Health and Safety at ProtoCON BC

Due to the social nature of our event and the set up of the venue, we have several Health & Safety requirements in place to help keep our attendees, designers, and volunteers safe during our event.

• It can be tempting to be on site and play games the whole time, but please ensure you are taking care of your personal hygiene throughout the weekend. This includes bathing, regularly washing your hands with soap, and wearing deodorant. Take breaks to grab something to eat or drink regularly.

• While ProtoCON BC will not require masks at our event, masks are still strongly encouraged, and we will have masks on hand for use. We will be monitoring local health and safety alerts and, should anything change, we reserve the right to implement a masking policy at any time. 

• We will have extra hand sanitizer stationed around the event, including at registration, set up within the playtest area, and at the canteen. We encourage you to use it regularly.

• If you are sick, please stay home. 

Drop us an email at protoconbc@gmail.com as soon as possible if you find you are sick and must stay home, and we will roll your ticket over to our next event. If you have already claimed your event badge, the remaining time will be rolled over to the next event.
